As well-respected leaders in the commercial real estate industry, our Board of Advisors give us support and guidance to provide innovative services and expertise for our clients, as well as offer their insight to help navigate the current and future success of Stan Johnson Company.
Phil Baxter
As the outgoing president of Stan Johnson Company, Phil brings a unique range of experience and credibility to our Board. Phil served as president of SJC from 2002 to 2012. Some of Phil's key contributions included SJC's national expansion strategy, development of a corporate platform of services, and the establishment of the SJC Core Values. Before joining SJC, Phil was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Mapco Inc. prior to its merger with the Williams Company. In addition Phil served as Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning during his tenure at Mapco as well as several financial positions with Williams Energy Company, a subsidiary of TWC. Phil is also Lead Independent Director of CONSOL Energy Company and was previously Chairman of the Board at CNX Gas - both are NYSE companies. In addition he is a Director of Yorktown Bank. Phil received his bachelor's degree in finance and economics from the University of Oklahoma. He is also a graduate of the University of Virginia's Darden Executive Program. Personally, Phil has been married to Nancy for 43 years and they have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with friends and loved ones at their home in Jackson, Wyoming.
Chris Lee
Chris Lee is president of CEL & Associates, Inc., which provides advisory services to several commercial real estate firms. Chris has served in an advisory capacity to the Executive Committee of SJC for several years. He has served on the boards of many real estate companies and on the Governing Board for the Metropolitan Research Center, College of Architecture + Planning at the University of Utah. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife of 35 years, Liz. Together they have a daughter Kristen, who recently received her Masters from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas. Chris is an avid backpacker and cyclist, recently completing a 50-mile trip across the Teton Crest in Wyoming. He strives to read a book a week, enjoys golf, skiing and traveling.
Diane Detering-Paddison
Diane is the newest member of our Board of Advisors. She is founder and president of 4Word, a not-for-profit organization "exclusively focused on connecting, leading and supporting professional Christian women to achieve their God-given potential." Her book, "Work, Love, Pray" was published by Zondervan in 2011. Diane currently serves as Chief Strategy Officer for Cassidy Turley and is an Independent Director for Behringer Harvard’s Opportunity Fund II. She also serves on four not-for-profit boards: the National Advisory Board for the Salvation Army; Harvard Business School Christian Fellowship Alumni Association, Oregon State University College of Business Dean’s Circle of Excellence, and the Oregon State University Foundation as a Trustee. She has served on the Global Executive teams of two Fortune 500 companies and as COO of Trammell Crow Company and ProLogis. She lives in Dallas, Texas and Portland, Oregon with her husband, Chris. Together they have one college graduate, and three college-age children. She loves to travel with her kids, run, and ski.
