Anthony Cohen is a vice president in Northmarq’s Los Angeles commercial investment sales office. Anthony is a highly experienced professional in the real estate industry, specializing in the sale and acquisition of single and multi-tenant properties across the United States. His main areas of focus include industrial/distribution, consumer/retail and healthcare assets.

One of Anthony's key areas of expertise is executing sale-leasebacks within the context of various transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, capital raising efforts and restructuring assignments. Throughout his career, Anthony has worked with a diverse range of clients, including private equity sponsors, investment banks, middle market companies, family offices, institutions and developers.

Since 2020, Anthony has been involved in deals with a cumulative volume exceeding $300 million. Anthony's expertise and extensive network of industry connections make him a valuable asset for clients seeking assistance with property dispositions, sale-leaseback transactions and real estate investments in the industrial, retail and healthcare sectors across the U.S.

Before joining Northmarq, Anthony embarked on his real estate brokerage career at James Capital Advisors/Ascension in 2020. During his time there, he consistently ranked among the top producers within the firm, demonstrating his exceptional skills and commitment to excellence. Prior to his tenure at James Capital Advisors/Ascension, Anthony served as a partner at a distressed debt firm. In this role, he successfully brokered and acquired a significant total of $70 million in distressed commercial real estate debt across the United States. Additionally, he played a crucial role in assisting a client with a $60 million recapitalization project for a property situated in downtown New York City.

Anthony's professional journey began in the field of investment banking, where he worked as an analyst at J.P. Morgan. This experience provided him with a strong foundation in financial analysis, valuation and modeling. Building upon this expertise, he has developed a deep understanding of real estate valuation, financial modeling, restructuring, special situations, bankruptcy and foreclosures.

Anthony is a member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and attained a Bachelor of Science in finance from the Pennsylvania State University.
